Quisiera saber quien me podría decir como cargar el audio externo, ya sea con el reproductor, thekmplayer o gom player, y si hay alguna forma de unir el audio al video.

No se con los demás reproductores pero con MPCHC le das open file (No quick open file )te da dos opciones una de video y otra de audio

Si tienes el audio + video en la misma carpeta con MPC HC puedes elegir la pista de audio.
Con MKVToolNix (mkvmerge GUI) puedes crear un solo MKV(audio dual) sin perder calidad en vez de un MP4 + AAC.
